The new EL STEP machine, developed by Synerlink, combines the operations of cardboard overpacking and packaging in a single machine block. This equipment can handle different formats of cups as well as bottles.
After one year of use our customer, EURIAL, a subsidiary of the AGRIAL group, known for its Soignon brand, is convinced of the performance and reliability of this recent Synerlink innovation.
Olivier Grosjean, director of the site at Riec-sur-Belon, in France, says:
“This solution has a number of advantages.
It combines compactness, flexibility, performance and ergonomics.
The equipment’s four stations (destacking, transfer, folding-gluing and packaging) take up very little space (3x6m), which responds to the need for compactness.
The Synerlink teams have always been there to help during development and finalisation. The packages of goat’s milk yogurt coming off this line are perfect. The equipment is reliable, because the process is perfectly reproducible, whatever the package format. The overpacking displays outstanding quality and workmanship. Moreover, the HMI (human-machine interface) on the machine is a pleasure to use. The displayed information is easy to use and very simple for the operators.”
The machine’s modular architecture and the choice of sequential multi-row operation allows adaptation to the machine’s rates — from 30 to 200 overpackings per minute. Format change takes very little time and can be done by an operator at an ergonomic height.
